Vol. 258 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - British Policy in North.

24.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has replied to the indication received from the British authorities (details supplied) that they strongly deplored that "terrorists" were able to seek sanctuary and a base in the South; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have made it clear to the British authorities that their policies in relation to the North are responsible for the condition of affairs that exists there and for such incidental activity as happens on the Border.

So far as this jurisdiction is concerned the law is applied and the Government accept no criticisms from the British authorities in that respect.
