Vol. 259 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Pedestrian Crossings.

31.

asked the Minister for Local Government when his Department expects to provide pedestrian crossings in Ballymun Avenue and Collins Avenue extension, Dublin, having regard to the unfortunate fatalities and injuries which have occurred on this roadway since the recent completion of the road works.

The provision of pedestrian crossings is a matter for the road authority acting at the request or with the consent of the Commissioner of the Garda Síochána. I received representations from the residents' association about provision of pedestrian crossings on these roads and I have brought them to the notice of the corporation.
