I move:
That a supplementary sum not exceeding £1,038,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1972, for Remuneration.
This arises primarily in respect of the implementation of the first phase of the 13th round increase in pay for civil servants and also certain grade increases which arose in respect of arbitration settlements which were based on the arbitration findings.
