asked the Minister for Social Welfare the estimated annual cost of increasing (a) old age pensions, (b) unemployment benefit and (c) widows pensions by £1 per week.

Increasing the personal rates of old age pensions, unemployment benefit and widows pensions by £1 a week would cost £8,300,000, £1,800,000 and £3,800,000 a year respectively.
