I presume the Deputy is referring to the "fines-on-the-spot" scheme, which was introduced on 1st April, 1963.
The total amount of money remitted to my Department during the period from 1st April, 1963, to 31st December, 1971, in respect of payments made under the "fines-on-the-spot" scheme for parking offences in the Dublin metropolitan area, excluding Dún Laoghaire and Bray, was £604,941.
