Grants are not payable in respect of the provision of fire stations or other local authority offices, but the library portion of the Claremorris project will qualify for a subsidy on the approved loan charges when tenders and borrowing proposals have been submitted by the county council and sanctioned by me. At this stage the council's preliminary proposals are being examined and a decision on them will be issued as soon as possible.
