Vol. 260 No. 14

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Aircraft Deliveries.

73.

asked the Minister for Defence when his Department expect to have delivery of new aircraft for the Army Air Corps; the type of aircraft involved; and the price of these aircraft.

The type of aircraft at present on order for the Air Corps is the Cessna Reims Rocket which is the military version of the well proven and widely used Cessna F.172 model. It is not the practice of my Department to disclose prices.

The aircraft are due for delivery about the end of September.

May I ask the Minister the estimated total expenditure by his Department for this development?

I have not got the figure.

Can the Minister say how many aircraft are being purchased?
