Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Human Environment Conference.

137.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he considered invitations to the two Opposition party spokesmen to participate in the Irish delegation to the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment to be held in Stockholm between 5th and 16th June; and if he will state the total number of persons on the Irish delegation.

The invitation of the Secretary-General in respect of the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment which is now in progress asked the Government to participate and as is normal in such circumstances the delegation consists of a Minister—in this case the Minister for Local Government—and a number of officials representing Departments with a major interest. The number in the delegation is eight.
