The interest rate on judgment debts was the subject of a number of recommendations by the Committee on Court Practice and Procedure in their tenth interim report. Legislation dealing with the matter will be introduced in due course. However, I can hold out no hope of introducing this legislation in the near future as priority must necessarily be given to more urgent legislative proposals.
