asked the Minister for Transport and Power the total number of passengers carried by American scheduled carriers between the United States and Shannon during 1971; and the percentage of those passengers who disembarked at Shannon.

The total traffic carried by the airlines in question into or through Shannon during 1971 was 70,837 of which 65 per cent disembarked at Shannon.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power the number of passengers carried by Aer Lingus between the United States and Shannon during 1971; and the percentage of these who went on to Dublin to disembark.

For the year ended 31st March, 1972, the number of passengers carried by Aerlínte from the USA to Shannon and Dublin was 131,731 of which 39 per cent disembarked at Dublin.
