Vol. 262 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Corporation SDA Loans.

72.

asked the Minister for Local Government if, in view of the large increase in house prices over the past 12 months and the large average deposit required, he will take steps to increase the maximum SDA loan payable by Dublin Corporation to persons desiring to purchase their own houses; and, if not, why.

I have decided to increase from £3,300 to £3,800 the limit of the maximum loan payable by Dublin Corporation for new houses commenced on or after the 1st July, 1972, and for previously occupied houses, for which loan applications are received on or after that date.
