Vol. 262 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Service.

100.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will consider installing a public telephone in Perrystown post office, County Dublin.

Provision of a public telephone in Perrystown post office is not considered warranted. The area is regarded as adequately served by existing street kiosks.

101.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs when a telephone will be installed in Our Lady of Loreto School, Tallaght, County Dublin.

There is no record of an application in this case but service would be provided in about three months from receipt of an order.

102.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a public telephone kiosk will be provided outside Stranooden post office, County Monaghan.

The call office telephone at Stranooden post office is little used and the provision of a street kiosk there is not contemplated at present.

103.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a public telephone kiosk will be provided at Reaghstown, County Louth.

It is expected that a telephone kiosk will be provided at Reaghstown in the current financial year.

104.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if a public telephone kiosk will be provided at Tallanstown, County Louth.

Provision of a kiosk at Tallanstown is not considered warranted at present but one will probably be provided there in about three years time under the programme for extension of kiosk facilities in rural areas.
