asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will make a statement in regard to the decrease in the sales of Irish butter in Britain this year; and the reasons for the decrease.

I am informed by An Bord Bainne that there has been no decrease in sales of Irish butter in Britain this year. In fact, they were about 4,000 tons higher in the ten-month period ended 31st October than in the corresponding period in 1971.
