asked the Minister for Health the number of people on the waiting list for admission to the Surgical Hospital, Sligo and Manorhamilton Hospital, County Leitrim; and the number of these awaiting surgery.

I understand from the North-Western Health Board that on the 30th November, 1972, the numbers of patients, medical and surgical, on the waiting lists for admission to the County Hospital, Sligo, and the County Hospital, Manorhamilton, were 124 and 9, respectively. The numbers awaiting surgery were 102 and 8, respectively. The type of surgery involved is set out in a statement which, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, I propose to circulate with the Official Report.
