asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will introduce amending legislation to ensure that current discrimination against domestic and agricultural workers in the social insurance scheme is eliminated.
Written Answers. - Social Insurance Scheme.

It is assumed that the Deputy is referring to the unemployment benefit entitlement of women employed in private domestic service or in agriculture because that is the only area in which the entitlement of domestic and agricultural workers differs from that of other insured workers under the social insurance schemes currently administered by my Department.
I have the special requirements for the receipt of unemployment benefit which are applicable to these categories of women under sympathetic review and I hope to reach a decision in the matter at an early date.
