Vol. 265 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Planning Appeal Tribunal.

77.

asked the Minister for Local Government when he intends to set up a planning appeal tribunal in view of the disquiet voiced over the years concerning section 4 of the Local Government (Planning and Development) Act, 1963.

The Deputy will have noted that on 28th March, 1973, the Dáil gave leave to introduce the Local Government (Planning and Development) Bill, 1973. The Long Title indicates that the Bill will provide, inter alia, for the establishment of a body to be known as an Bord Pleanála, which would deal with planning appeals. I hope to be in a position in the near future to have the text of the Bill circulated to Deputies.
