Prisoners are employed at the following occupations: Assembly of advertising records; ball point pen assembly; baking; bookbinding; carpentry; farming; gardening; general maintenance work; mailbag manufacture; manufacture of canvas mittens; manufacture of flags; manufacture of pallets; matmaking; metal recovery; motor repairs; preparation of vegetables for canning; printing; rugmaking; sewing and knitting; shoemaking; shoe top assembly; tailoring; tomato growing; toy manufacture; upholstery; woodcutting.
Gratuities at the rate of 10p per day are paid to well conducted and industrious prisoners in accordance with General Prison Regulations.
