The acquisition position at 31st March, 1973, was that offers had been accepted by vendors in a total of 63 cases comprising 3,432 acres and a further 26,232 acres, involving 242 prospective vendors, were at preliminary stages of investigation. As of now it would not be possible to say what total area might be acquired during the current year.
