Vol. 266 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Sub-Post Office.

126.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he has any plans for replacing the sub-post office which has closed in Lower Mount Street, Dublin.

Although the vacancy was advertised and a canvass of the area was carried out it has not been possible, so far, to replace the sub-post office at Lower Mount Street. Efforts to fill the vacancy are, however, continuing.

Can the Parliamentary Secretary state if it is the intention to replace this post office when a suitable person is found? Is it proposed to issue advertisements in connection with this matter?

The vacancy was advertised and a canvass of the area was carried out.

Will further efforts be made?

I understand they are continuing.
