Vol. 266 No. 8

Written Answers. - County Cork House Grant Applicant.

220.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he is aware that a person (name supplied) in Drumcollogher, County Cork, applied for a new house grant some time ago and despite a reminder his application has not yet been sanctioned; and if he will investigate the matter.

There is no record in my Department of an application for a new house grant in this case.

The person referred to applied for a reconstruction grant in January, 1964, and a grant of £46 was allocated in May, 1964. Notification of completion of the work was not received until April, 1973. The file is with the Department's inspector who will examine the house during the present week. If the work is satisfactorily completed, payment of the grant will be made without delay.
