Fermoy is included in a group of towns mentioned as locations for industry in the Industrial Development Authority's Regional Industrial Plans for the southwest region. I understand that the authority have had discussions with the Cork County Council with a view to acquiring suitable land in Fermoy for industrial development. The availability of a serviced site should facilitate the establishment of additional industry in the town.
