Vol. 267 No. 12

Written Answers. - Third-Level Educational Courses.

147.

asked the Minister for Education if he will confirm that students qualifying at third level from vocational schools will have the same opportunities as students qualifying in the same subjects and at the same level of education from universities.

I am not quite clear as to what the Deputy has in mind. The object of third-level courses in institutions other than the universities is to create a supply of persons with suitable education and training at that level to meet the requirements and demands of our economy. I am confident that employment opportunities will be available to those students who successfully complete third-level courses at such institutions.
