asked the Minister for Finance when works on the restoration of the long gallery in Kilkenny Castle will begin.

The Butler Society have organised a fund-raising campaign with a view to contributing towards the cost of restoring the south tower. The outcome of this campaign is awaited before restoration work is undertaken.
Tenders for the restoration of the long gallery in the castle have been received and are being examined.
