Vol. 267 No. 12

Written Answers. - Pyramid Selling.

93.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the progress made in the examination of the activity known as pyramid selling.

94.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if, in view of a recent court case at which reference was made to a pyramid company which caused the loss of almost £3,000 to three individuals, he will state the action he intends taking to prevent this company (details supplied) from continuing its activities in this country.

With your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, I propose to take Questions Nos. 93 and 94 together. I have requested the Examiner of Restrictive Practices to investigate the practice of pyramid selling and I hope to have his report within the next few weeks.
