Vol. 268 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Internment of Children.

28.

asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if he has made or is considering representations to the British Government concerning the internment of children in the Six Counties.

The British Government are fully aware of our attitude on internment in Northern Ireland.

We have been in contact with them about this matter and have been informed that no one under the age of 15 has been detained or held in custody under the Northern Ireland (Emergency Provisions) Act, 1973.
