asked the Minister for Transport and Power the number of vessels now owned by Irish Shipping Limited; the gross tonnage D.W.; and if there are any plans to enlarge the fleet.

Irish Shipping Ltd. own 11 vessels of 263,150 dead-weight tons. In addition, Irish Shipping have a 50 per cent share in the Rosslare/ Le Havre car ferry m.v. "St. Patrick" of 1,275 dead-weight tons. The company have constantly under consideration the question of ordering additional tonnage either for expansion purposes or to replace older vessels, but at the present time there are no firm proposals for the ordering of additional vessels.
