asked the Minister for Transport and Power when a supply of electricity will be made available to applicants in the Boardee, Shanagraigue and Carrigaline areas of County Cork.

The ESB have not been able to provide the information which the Deputy seeks because the staff concerned are preoccupied with duties arising out of the present power difficulties.

If the Deputy will be good enough to repeat her question in a week's time I would hope to have the information.

Could the Minister give us any idea, in general, of the delay that will arise in the finalising or the continuation of the rural electrification development programme arising from the recent——

The Deputy is seeking to broaden out of all proportion the subject matter of the question which refers to the Boardee, Shanagraigue and Carrigaline areas in County Cork.

Could the Minister give us an idea of how long the delay may be in the areas specified in Mid-Cork arising out of the recent strike?

I would not anticipate that there would be any delay.

Very little has been put in recently.
