asked the Minister for Local Government the estimated number of electors per Deputy in the areas which comprise the constituencies set out in the schedule to the Electoral (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 1973, on the basis of the 1972-73 register of electors.
Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Electoral Statistics.
Statistics in respect of the number of electors on the 1972-73 register of electors for the constituencies set out in the Schedule to the Electoral (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill, 1973, are not available. However, based on returns made by local authorities, the current—1973-74—electorate in respect of each of the proposed constituencies has been complied and is contained in a tabular statement which I propose, with your permission, a Cheann Comhairle, to have circulated with the Official Report.
