Vol. 269 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Arrears of Pay.

41.

asked the Minister for Labour the amount collected from employers in the last six months by the inspectorate of his Department in respect of arrears of pay due, including arrears of social welfare payments.

Arrears of pay, totalling £6.523, due to workers who were being paid less than the statutory minimum rates laid down in Employment Regulation Orders were recovered from employers in the six months ended 20th November. I have no function in regard to collection of arrears of social welfare payments from employers.
