Vol. 269 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Radio-active Waste Storage.

17.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will resolve the problems arising from the permanent storage of radio-active wastes before this country embarks on development of a nuclear fission energy plant.

Very careful consideration will be given before such a station is brought into commission to the problems arising from the disposal of radio-active wastes. Such problems are matters proper to be determined on the advice of the Nuclear Energy Board and in accordance with approved international practice.
