Vol. 269 No. 9

Ceisteann—Questions. Oral Answers. - Road Tax.

31.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will reduce road tax on motor vehicles if petrol rationing is introduced.

If patrol supplies are reduced by 10 to 15 per cent, would the Parliamentary Secretary not consider it reasonable that road tax should be reduced by the same amount?

It would present too much difficulty.

And the Joneses must be taxed like everybody else.
