asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is satisfied that everything possible is being done by his Department to speed up the eradication of brucellosis.

Everything possible is being done by my Department to speed up the eradication of brucellosis. The situation is being kept under constant review but I will not be fully satisfied until the task of eradication of this disease is completed.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he considers that there is a danger of the spread of abortion because of the present system of bull inspection at one centre of inspection.

I am advised that the danger of the spread of abortion due to brucellosis from the assembling for inspection for a limited time of young bulls is very remote.
