Before going on to Private Members' Business I should like to state that when Deputy Andrews attempted to raise in the House after questions today the reasons for my ruling out a private notice question submitted by him. I inadvertently said that I had written to him. I should, of course, have said that I had communicated with him. In the case of Private Notice questions the time available is so short that Deputies are told verbally of the Chair's decision. I wish to put the record right.
