asked the Minister for Finance the payments that were made under various headings to the EEC during Ireland's first year of membership; and the grants and subsidies that were received by Ireland in return from the various EEC funds such as the Agricultural Fund, Regional Fund, Social Fund.

The payments that were made amounted in total to £6.1 million under the various headings as follows:—

The Community Regional Fund has not yet been established.

Is the Minister saying that the total amount of money available to this country from our membership of the EEC is £40 million?

In the first year.

Some of the Minister's colleagues were wrong when they stated that the income would be £60 million.

We anticipate that sum for 1974.

Was that sum for the nine months of this year?

No, I have given the figures for 1973.

I am arguing about the statement made——

The Deputy may not argue at Question Time.

——that the income from the EEC would be £60 million.
