Vol. 273 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Censorship Laws.

64.

asked the Minister for Justice if there have been any prosecutions in the past year in respect of the exhibition and sale of printed matter contrary to the laws of censorship; and, if so, the number and the penalties imposed.

Two such prosecutions were taken in the past year. One was dealt with under the Probation of Offenders Act and the court ordered the confiscation of the literature. The other case was dismissed outright.
