asked the Taoiseach the external trade figures at the latest available date.

The latest external trade figures are those for the month of May, 1974. The value of imports in that month was £158.0 million while the value of exports was £94.8 million.
Since there is a record adverse trade balance at the moment what steps do the Government propose taking to correct the imbalance?
As the Deputy is aware, I am responsible for giving figures, not for commenting on them.
That is not much of an answer.
