Vol. 274 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Fermoy (Cork) Second Level Education.

20.

asked the Minister for Education the present position concerning second level education for boys in the Fermoy catchment area, County Cork.

Mr. R. Burke

There are three schools providing second-level education for boys in the Fermoy catchment area at present. St. Colman's College and the Christian Brothers School cater for boys up to leaving certificate level and the Fermoy Vocational School caters for pupils up to the intermediate certificate level. A request has been received from the County Cork Vocational Education Committee for sanction to provide extra accommodation for the purpose of senior cycle courses in Fermoy Vocational School. A reply from the Department in the matter will be issued at an early date.
