Gortbofearna NS is a small two-teacher school, in poor condition and with inadequate sanitary facilities. It is proposed to amalgamate the school with Inagh NS early in the coming school year and the provision of additional accommodation for this purpose at Inagh is being authorised. The amalgamated school will have a staff of five teachers and this will enable an improved educational programme to be provided for all the children.
