The position in regard to the current budget of the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee is that expenditure at the rate of £5.76 million per annum has been sanctioned as against £5.32 million for last year.
The Committee have requested sanction for expenditure at the rate of £6.7 million. I hope the Deputy will agree that it is misleading and unhelpful in the circumstances to refer to a budget cut-back of £1 million as if it were always possible to approve of the full expenditure levels proposed by committees.
