Vol. 275 No. 6

Written Answers. - Social Welfare Payments.

350.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will make arrangements to have a full noncontributory old age pension paid to a person (name supplied) in Mallow, County Cork, whose means now qualify him for this allowance.

A pension book at the full pension rate and all arrears of pension due have been issued to the person concerned.

351.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will make arrangements to have unemployment benefit paid to a person in County Cork (name supplied).

When the person in question claimed unemployment benefit on 23rd September, 1974, it was found necessary in order to establish title to benefit to make certain inquiries concerning the circumstances in which employment had terminated. On completion of the inquiries the claim was authorised and benefit is now in payment.

352.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange to have a children's allowance book re-issued to a person in County Cork (name supplied).

The appropriate allowance book was issued in this case on 25th October, 1974.

353.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare when the application for an old age contributory pension which was made three months ago by a person in County Meath (name supplied) will be dealt with.

There is no record of the receipt in the Department of a claim for old age contributory pension by the person named in the Deputy's question.

Arrangements have been made, however, to have the person concerned interviewed and a pension claim form completed by him.
