asked the Minister for Social Welfare the latest estimates of receipts and payments of the social insurance fund in the form of a reply of 24th May, 1973.

The required information is as follows:

Provisional receipts and payments of the social insurance fund for the year 1973-74 expressed as an average weekly amount in respect of each effectively insured person.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will furnish an estimate of receipts and payments of the social insurance fund for a year for the purposes of the Social Welfare (No. 2) Act, 1974, in the form of a reply of 24th May, 1973.

Because of the change in the financial year, as from 1975, it is not possible to furnish, on a yearly basis, the information sought by the Deputy.

The Table hereunder gives particulars of the estimated receipts and payments of the social insurance fund for the period April, 1974, to December, 1974, expressed as an average weekly amount in respect of each effectively insured person, including those who entered or re-entered insurance following the abolition of the remuneration limit for non-manual workers as from the 1st April, 1974.
