Vol. 276 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cream Exports.

6.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the amount of cream exported to England since the introduction of the green £; and the prospects for future exports.

Official statistics of exports of cream in the period since the introduction of the green £ are not available but it is estimated that a quantity of approximately 200 tons of frozen cream has been exported to England in that period. Exports of fresh cream were temporarily suspended but I am advised that following the recent price rise in Britain exports will be resumed shortly.
