Vol. 276 No. 13

Ceisteanna — Questions. Written Answers. - Radio Telephone Link.

62.

asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to newspaper reports of a meeting of the Southern Health Board concerning the provision of a radio telephone link with the remote Black Valley area near Beaufort, County Kerry; if he has been approached on the matter; and, if not, if he will arrange with the Health Board for the provision of this radio telephone service on medical grounds.

I have seen a newspaper report of a meeting of the Southern Health Board held on 2nd December at which it was agreed to ask the Department of Posts and Telegraphs to provide a radio telephone link between Killorglin and Black Valley in County Kerry. I have not been approached about it and I suggest that it would be reasonable at this stage to await the response of the Department of Posts and Telegraphs.
