asked the Minister for Local Government the allocation of moneys given to the different local authorities in the current transitional financial period for local improvement schemes.

94.

asked the Minister for Local Government the extra allocation, if any, given by his Department to each county council for local improvement schemes; and the criteria by which this extra grant was determined.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 93 and 94 together, and as the reply is in the form of a tabular statement, I propose, with his permission, to circulate it with the Official Report.

The "extra allocations" were determined having regard to the amount of the original allocations; the amounts likely to be unspent in respect of these original allocations; the rates of expenditure and the ability of Councils to expend additional funds before 31st December, 1974.
