Vol. 276 No. 13

Vote 49: Health (resumed).

I move:

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £10 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the period commencing on the 1st day of April, 1974, and ending on the 31st day of December, 1974, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of the Minister for Health (including Oifig an Ard-Chláraitheora), and certain services administered by that Office, including grants to Health Boards and miscellaneous grants, and for payment of a grantin-aid.

I am merely making the observation, for the second time, that the Health Estimate has only barely been touched on. Because of an undertaking given by the Minister in the House that there would be a full debate afforded, I agreed to cerin-aid tain Supplementary Estimates. That undertaking was given but, unfortunately, there was no full debate. There was a debate of a few hours and no more. It is unfortunate that these undertakings are given and are not complied with.

Vote put and agreed to.
