Vol. 277 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Offaly Disability Benefit.

9.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why disability benefit has not been paid to a person (name supplied) in County Offaly.

The person referred to by the Deputy is not entitled to payment of disability benefit because he does not, on his insurance record, satisfy the statutory contribution condition which requires a claimant to have a minimum of 26 contributions paid or credited in the contribution year governing his claim.

Can he apply for unemployment assistance?
