The total quantities of cement—including cement clinker for export—manufactured in cement factories in the State in the years 1971, 1972, 1973 and 1974 were 1,480,876 tons, 1,518,245 tons, 1,702,902 tons and 1,644,433 tons respectively.
Did I understand the Parliamentary Secretary to say that the figure for the year 1974 had dropped from 1,700,000 tons approximately to 1,400,000 tons, a drop of more than 300,000 tons?
It dropped from 1,702,902 tons to 1,644,433 tons.
It is still a very considerable drop.
