Vol. 277 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Japanese Tourists.

4.

asked the Taoiseach the estimated number of Japanese tourists who came to this country in 1974.

The information requested by the Deputy is not available. Such visitors may enter the country via the United Kingdom or direct from overseas. Since there are no frontier controls between this country and the United Kingdom estimates are not available of the total numbers.

The number of persons of Japanese nationality who arrived in this country direct from overseas in 1974 was 276. These include both visitors, persons who may have come to reside and persons returning from a visit abroad.
