asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the acquisition by the Land Commission of the Woulfe-Pierce estate at Athea, County Limerick.

(Cavan): Procedings are in progress for the compulsory acquisition of the property referred to. An objection to acquisition was disallowed by the lay commissioners and an appeal against their decision has been lodged. Until such time as the appeal is dealt with it is not possible to say whether the proceedings will continue.

asked the Minister for Lands the position regarding the acquisition by the Land Commission of the Nan Stack estate at Carrickerry, Ardagh, County Limerick.

(Cavan): The Land Commission have decided to carry out an inspection of the property referred to with a view to determining whether acquisition proceedings should be instituted and the requisite notice to this effect was served last week. Until such time as the inspection has been completed it is not possible to say what action will follow.
