Vol. 279 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Tipperary Old Age Pension.

97.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason for the delay in payment of a non-contributory old age pension (name supplied) in County Tipperary.

A decision has not yet been given on the old age non-contributory pension claim of the person concerned, which was received in my Department on 5th February, 1975, as the social welfare officer's investigation of means has not been completed. The reason for the delay in completing the investigation is the failure of the claimant's solicitors to supply the social welfare officer with information regarding the claimant's daughter's interest in his business which is necessary to enable the means assessment to be made.
